Lucca Bimbi: the festival for children and families at the Real Collegio
Lucca Bimbi is the first event in Tuscany designed to meet the needs and interests of families with children aged 0 to 12.
It’s a big celebration featuring play areas, workshops, shows, characters, themed zones, sports and attractions that engage all visitors.
When and where:
The event takes place in May, on Mother’s Day weekend, Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 7 pm, at the Real Collegio in the historic centre of Lucca. (Rain or shine: the venue is indoors!)
Lucca Bimbi: an event with a history
Lucca Bimbi was born in 2013 with a pilot edition, then established itself from 2016 as the original and longest-running event in Tuscany dedicated to children and families.
In 2026 it will celebrate 10 years, confirming its status as an unmissable appointment on Mother’s Day weekend.
What you’ll find
The range of activities is wide and varied: from the new inflatable area with slides and bouncy castles, to rooms dedicated to sports, from creative workshops to unleash imagination to musical ones.
New additions include the “Journey Through Time” experience and the “VR Dinosaur Experience”, dedicated to virtual reality. The most popular play areas are back: the LEGO space, wooden games and Firefighter city.
The programme also includes live shows such as “Disney Music Collection” and the “Grand Princess Ball”, along with many opportunities to meet beloved characters. Young visitors can meet Donald Duck, Minnie and Mickey Mouse, Snow White, Spiderman, Elsa and Anna, Steve from Minecraft, Batman, Belle, Stitch and many more.
Real Collegio Lucca parking
The Real Collegio in Lucca, venue of the event, does not have a dedicated car park for visitors.
Those arriving by car will need to use public car parks near the historic centre, such as Parcheggio del Borgo in Via Passaglia, and then continue on foot to the venue.
A choice that helps preserve the historic heart of the city and ensures a more relaxed arrival at the event.
